What is TAFE Outreach?
TAFE Outreach programs have been operating in NSW communities for over 30 years.
The programs are developed to meet local community needs and they aim to remove barriers many have when accessing further education and training.
These barriers include an earlier negative educational experience, geographic location, and fear of formal education.
Outreach also partners with other government departments:
Department of Corrective Services by delivering PEET programs (Pathways to Education & Employment Training),
Department of Education and Training (DET) - a program to train mentors for the Plan-It-Youth secondary schools initiative.
Department of Education and Training (SACC) - Schools as Community Centres, where many Outreach programs are delivered to parents and local residents.
OUR FAVOURITE LINKS
The purpose of the Outreach Program is to promote educational equity by broadening the educational opportunities for groups of adults who are under-represented in education.
